On 10th of September they got an email from an agent in Turkey who requested their charges for local formalities, local transportation, loading & lashing & securing of the units in 1 x 40’ Flat Rack which need to be exported to Izmit Korfezi, Turkey for further transportation to Baku, Azerbaijan.

They provided all related charges. Although the partner found the charges very high, on 18th September the job was awarded by the client.

So they need to book 1 x 40’ Flat Rack immediately which has to be placed to Shipper’s premises in Sharjah next day morning on Thursday.

Considering that they have to get an approval from the Shipping Line for OOG cargo, Thursday is the last working day before weekend and there is a road restrictions, they requested to postpone loading and lashing to Saturday morning, but the client insisted them to finalize loading on Thursday.

They arranged a booking from the Shipping Line for Thursday morning. By the time they got the container from terminal, it was almost noon time.

Their driver rushed and despite the heavy traffic on the road, they managed to place the container for loading in the evening.

Around 10:30 pm on 19th September, Thursday they got a message from the driver that the cargo was loaded safely.

Despite the fact that their lashing team was ready at Shipper’s premises, due to the safety reason, they decided to postpone lashing to Saturday morning as they had time until their cut off time.

So they planned the gate in the container to terminal and export customs formalities to be completed on Saturday.

Finally they completed the job safely and as planned. On 21th of September the container was on board the vessel and sailed from U.A.E.

Although G M B International Team arranged the transportation within a short notice, they managed to handle safely and successfully considering coming weekend, road restrictions, cut off time from the shipping lines and port authorities.

Congratulations to G M B INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING LLC, U.A.E. for their excellent job!
